A real estate specialist since 1997, Mike has been a sales associate at several renowned luxury communities in Arizona. A 1989 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Mike was a 3 year letter winner on the golf team. He was named captain his senior year and was an academic All-Big 10 for two seasons. After graduating, he worked in Public Relations and Marketing for the Minnesota Vikings and then in sales for the distribution glass division of Apogee Enterprises in Minneapolis. He later got his MBA from the Univ of Minnesota in 1996 prior to moving to Scottsdale to start his career in Real Estate development and sales. His career began at the prestigious Lyle Anderson Company where he held a variety of positions, ultimately transitioning to the sales team at Superstition Mountain near Gold Canyon AZ where he spent five years and was the top salesperson there in his final two years. In 2002, he was hired to launch the luxury community of Silverleaf in Scottsdale and has been part of that team ever since, contributing to their unprecedented success with over $1 billion in developer sales. Originally charged with selling the 732 properties within the gates, Silverleaf Realty has expanded their business model in recent years to include resale and launch opportunities in neighborhoods from Paradise Valley to other communities in North Scottsdale. Mike’s relationship-building, experience and knowledge in the luxury market has resulted in some remarkable selling figures in recent years, averaging over $33M in resale business since 2015. He was ranked as high as the #8 individual producer in the Phoenix realtor market in 2015 and has two years with over $40M in resale business (2016 and 2018). He is credited with listing the most expensive home to ever sell in DC Ranch ($6.75M in 2019) as well as selling the second all-time highest priced home in Troon ($3.75M in 2018). Other highlights include four home Silverleaf sales over $7M in the past few years, making him one of the most active agents in this luxury home segment. In addition to home sales, he has extensive land experience as he has participated in hundreds of vacant lot transactions over the past 23 years. These sales have ranged from $200K to over $4.5M for an individual custom site.
